🥾 Itinerary
(This is a sample itinerary and may be adjusted by SANParks based on weather, wildlife movement, and safety.)
Day 1 — Arrival at Satara & Transfer to Private Camp
Meet at Satara Rest Camp for a slow, scenic drive to our private trail camp — your first chance to spot wildlife. On arrival, you’ll be welcomed by the trail leader, introduced to the camp, and given time to settle in. A full briefing follows, covering camp rules, safety, and what to expect over the next few days. After a wholesome meal, enjoy the magic of the bush: a crackling fire, night sounds, and a sky full of stars.
Day 2 — Dawn Walk, Bush Learning & Sundowners
Your day begins before sunrise with coffee, tea, and a rusk. The morning walk starts directly from camp or after a short drive deeper into the wilderness. Return late morning for a well‑deserved brunch, followed by a relaxing siesta until mid‑afternoon. The afternoon brings a shorter walk and traditional sundowners before heading back to camp for another delicious meal and time around the fire.
Day 3 — Another Full Day of Walking & Wilderness
This day mirrors the rhythm of Day 2 — early morning walk, brunch, rest, afternoon walk, sundowners, and a peaceful evening at camp. It’s the perfect blend of adventure, learning, and quiet connection with nature.
Day 4 — Morning Bush Chorus & Departure
On the final morning, no walk takes place. Instead, enjoy the early morning bush chorus from camp — a gentle, reflective end to your experience. After a small breakfast, guests are transported back to Satara Rest Camp.
