Berry and Avocado Smoothie – Keto/Banting
Ideal for those following our Keto/Banting diet plans.
Trying to lose weight but getting nowhere? You may be insulin resistant. People who adhere to my Keto/Banting (low in carbs, high in fat) diet plan achieve great results and find that it is an easy lifestyle to follow and maintain weight loss.
Serving size
Serves 2
Ingredients:
- 1 cup frozen strawberries or mixed berries
- 1 cup Greek yogurt OR coconut cream
- 1 avocado
- 1 tablespoon xylitol if you like it sweet
- 1 cup of crushed ice, or a few ice cubes
- optional: ½ cup water or milk, if it’s too thick to blend
Directions:
Blend ingredients together in a food processor or a blender.
Berry and Banana Smoothie – Low GI / Mediterranean
Ideal for those following our Low GI or Mediterranean diet plans.
Serving size
Severs 2
Ingredients:
- 1 cup frozen strawberries or mixed berries
- 1 banana
- 1 cup low fat yoghurt or Greek yoghurt
- 2 tablespoons cottage cheese
- 1 tablespoon xylitol if you like it sweet
- 1 teaspoon oat bran
- optional: ½ cup water or milk if it’s too thick to blend
Directions:
Blend ingredients together in a food processor or a blender.
